Bactoscience SIL-4( SILAGE INOCULANTS)

Silage, as it is known, is a feed production method that has been used since the 7th century AD. Silage is a fermented feed containing high moisture that meet the essential needs of ruminants, digested easily, have high nutritional value, and can be stored in silos. In other words, silage is fermented feed with the effect of Lactic acid bacteria (LAB), of which obtained from water-rich feed plants leaved in an oxygen-free environment.                                 

• The problems encountered during silage production with the traditional method are generally recognized as;
• Failure in starting natural lactic fermentation in silage feed,
• Not reaching the desired acidification level,
• Growth of pathogenic microorganisms in silage material and even formation of microbial toxins,
• Decrease in nutritional value.

Bactoscience SIL-4 contains live bacterial cultures specially isolated and developed for high-quality silage production. Bactoscience SIL-4 increases the safety of silage, makes it more nutritious and more acceptable, improves the health and welfare of livestock, the profitability of the business and the hygiene level of the final products.

Bactoscience SIL-4 consists of homofermentative lactic acid bacteria species, and carries out fermentation correctly and ensures rapid acidification of the silage without possible carbon dioxide production.

The silo can be opened after three weeks and with the control of unwanted microorganisms, spores, pathogenic bacteria, etc. It reduces losses during silage making. It increases the production of beneficial substances as a result of lactic fermentation.​
